Dateline Lahinch, 11/28/08

We're checked in to the Atlantic Hotel, a really charming little pensione kind of place in this tiny western seaside town of Lahinch, where all the shops closed at 5, shortly after our arrival. Our room has an upholstered window seat that won me over immediately. We're up several floors around around several corners.

I'd have little trouble believing we're in another century, except that Jo has managed to get us linked to the internet. Not sure about the details, but I am of the belief that it is far easier to ask forgiveness than permission, so here we go. I've been writing a bit offline, as time allows, with the thought that I'd have internet access eventually. The moment is now. So before we go off to meet the group for dinner ("at half seven," as they say), I'll post some more episodes of this excellent adventure. More to follow...
